"Success to me is not being rich and famous but having enough to give back to community". My goal in life is to become a special needs teacher. I joined journalism so that I can inform the world one story at a time. In my free time, I enjoy going to the mall with my friends.

I grew up in sunny San Diego, and I have a beautiful family. My mom teaches my two sisters and I the way through life. My stepfather has also always been here giving us advice on life and deals with living with four women.

"Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action." I am a senior at Lincoln High in the Center for Public Safety. This is my first year attending Lincoln, and I'm very excited to be a part of journalism, especially as we are taking the "newspaper" to a completely new dimension.

"Everything happened today like it should, so tomorrow can happen like it should” is one of my favorites quotes by Marilyn Monroe that I live by. Because everything happens like it should, also because I don’t want to dwell on unimportant things.

"Live, laugh, love, and dream." That is the quote that I live by. At the age of 17, those four actions have taken me very far. When I first chose to study journalism, I had no clue what I was getting myself into.

My name is Kayla Mack. Something most people may not know about me is that I have a very large appetite. My role models include Tyra Banks, Guliana Rancic, and Adam Richman. The reason that I idolize them so much is because they are all very successful people.

"Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he/she wants to do it.” I joined journalism at the beginning of my senior year because I became interested in a career in broadcasting.

My name is Lucia Carrillo, but most people call me Lucy. I currently am a senior at Lincoln High School; it is my third year in this school but my first year in journalism. People who may not know me may think that I am a mean person just by the way I look, but the truth is that I am very outgoing and fun to be with.
