Lincoln senior, Kayla Mack, will be staring in Micheal Bay's third and final film, Transformers - Dark of the Moon. When it was announced that Megan Fox will not return to the final film, rumors circulated around to established other actresses like Paris Hilton, Miley Circus, Selina Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens, but the shortlist came down to Kayla Mack, a senior in the Center of Public Safety.
Kayla went to a casting call in Los Angeles. They gave her an audition with Shia Labeouf, who plays Sam Witwicky, Kayla's new love interest Carly, from the old the animated series.
Kayla was extremely excited for this role, not having much acting experience. In the grand scheme of things, even if she did, it likely won't change the quality of the overall film. Micheal Bay said, ''She was nervous when she was first given the script but she still pulled it off'."
Even if the box office results are not as high as the first two, Bay will still launch her career just like he did with Fox. The first scenes to be shot for the film started last year, and this has been secret until now. Transformers will come out this summer.
"I enjoyed working with Shia, he was very professional. He helped me a great deal, since this was my first major role," said Mack. "I am so honored to get this part, I beat out so many actresses with much more experience, I feel that I am still dreaming."
