Hornets to Play Cardinals Tonight for The C.I.F. Championship

In the quarterfinals of the playoffs, The Hornets played the Morse Tigers and beat them 74-39. They will play the Hoover Cardinals this Friday, March 4, 2011 at University of San Diego (USD - Jenny Craig Pavilion).

The Lincoln Hornets played the Monte Vista Monarchs on Saturday, February 26, 2011. This was the quarterfinals; the game was intense as the stands quickly filled with fans, alumni, scouts and students. The Hornets were focused, and ready to come out and win.

On January 9, Angel Lopez, a United States Professional Tennis Association Professionals Master and a top tour coach, came to Lincoln High School and helped out Boys and Girls Tennis. He personally donated 15 new Wilson tennis racquets and six new cases of Wilson US Open tennis balls. Coaches Michael Desjardin and Carl Davis, along with Athletic Director Ron Hamamoto and Executive Principal Mel Collins, welcomed him on campus and accepted his donation.

Hornets Blowout La Jolla Vikings

The Hornets played the La Jolla Vikings on Tuesday, February 8, 2011. The Hornets came out exceptionally strong, at the beginning of the first half Kevin Smith and Norman Powell had already sunk four three pointers.  The starting five were Javonte Byrd, Norman Powell, Rasean Simpson, Kevin Smith and Tyree Robinson.
