igh school is a time when students get their first jobs. Many employers do not like to hire 16 year olds because they lack maturity and experience. That’s why you must continue to apply until that one manager sees something in you. Dressing to impress can also greater your chances of obtaining an employee position.
Dressing to impress is one of the biggest factors when going into a job interview. First impressions are everything. Here are some tips for how to put together a presentable look from head to toe.
For guys, collars are a must. They are give guys a nice conservative look. Pairing them with a nice pair of slacks gives you a dressy look you cant go wrong with.
For ladies, a dress shirt and slacks can also work, but women have more options. Ladies can also rock a not to for fitting skirt that at least is knee length or take it up a notch and rock a nice classy dress.
“Dress up for your interview, dress up and show them that you know what that means,” said Tim Gun
Wearing tennis shoes is out of the question for boys a nice dress shoe like a loafer is excellent. For ladies a nice flat or cue pair of heels will work.
“When going to a interview, I think heels are the way to go, you’ll feel the part and if you feel the part, you’ll be the part,” said Tishawnna Hamilton, an impact worker at Charlotte Russe.
It is better to be over dressed than under dressed. All these tips can contribute to the process of you getting the job you want along with a good look that will leave them with a respectful opinion on you. Along with a good look and friendly attitude, you cannot go wrong. Good Luck!
