lthough it may be winter time in California, it feels like early spring. People are already starting to break out shorts and sandals while others stay bundled up in their leather jackets and boots. With the combinations of both these styles in play, here are some late winter/early spring fashions to rock.

• Tuxedo Jackets are hot right now. You could pair it with a classy pencil skirt or a nice classic jean. Either way, it gives you a look you cannot go wrong with.

“They’re cute...even girls can wear guy looks. It’s a fashion statement,” said senior Noe Venegas.

• Pencil skirts are in also. Whether short, mid length or long, you can always make them work. Plain colors, floral patterns and tribal designs give you a little fun and originality to play around with. You can wear them with our without tights.

“I think that pencil skirts are very cute because they can be very colorful and creative. If you know how to dress yourself with a pencil skirt, you can make yourself look very classy,” said senior Briana Melvin.

• Vintage inspired leather boots are a must have in your closet this season. Although Ugg snow boots will always be great for a cold day. Rider boots can dress a chill outfit up and you do not have to worry about your feet getting wet if you decide to wear them on a rainy day.

“My leather boots make any outfit I wear pop, they’re hot,” said senior Le’Chelle Davidson.

Although everything here mentioned are separate pieces, these articles of clothing can create a great trendy look in 2012 if paired together. Even without an individual sense of style, these pointers can take you from drab to classy fab instantly.
