The Mind Of A Dancer

Written by Alex Tran

Image 1 My friends and I were looking for a place to practice and we found this spot, the Joan Kroc Center. There’s a dancing room in the back. The workers there are so nice. They give us mats to practice on and a music system we can use. It's really nice how they trust us to use their room and not think we will trash it up or break anything. The room there is nice and clean. They have mirrors for us to look in. When we practice we use those mirrors to see if our dancing is good or horrible.

This place is important to me because I learned all my moves there. I had my first battle there and won it. Without the Kroc Center I wouldn’t be as good a dancer now. I left my heart on that floor. Every time I go to the Kroc Center I do my best, other places I don’t do as well. That’s why I love this place! It inspires me a lot. When I get successful in my dancing career I’m going to come back and donate a lot of money to this center. I want kids everywhere to be able to dance at a safe and nice place like the Kroc center. I created most of my performance choreography there.

I’m proud of the performances that I've choreographed. My crew has won all the battles with the choreography we created. There are also students that we teach. The room brings a lot of memories. There's also a weight room where I used to work out. I gained a lot of muscle because I’m BUFF! I met a lot of nice people there. My friends were there to help me.

When I needed to get in shape I went there for training. When my friends saw me do something wrong they came by and helped me out. I’m not the best dancer there but I’m the most respected. I like to dance and I recommend this place to any dancer to come by and show some moves or learn.
